Meet the Team

Gavin – Outdoor enthusiast and volunteer fire fighter
Born and bred in Dunedin, Gavin is proud to be the Manager of both the Dunedin and Central Otago branches. With over 12-years of experience in the hire industry coupled with a background as a builder and joiner; Gavin has a first-hand understanding of access requirements.

For the past 11-years he has also been a member of the volunteer fire brigade at Waikouaiti Fire Station. Gavin was one of the 85 fire fighters called in to assist with the Pukeuri Freezing Works Fire in 2006.

When he is not fighting fires or helping Accessman customers, Gavin enjoys taking time out to spend with his wife Meredith and new baby Imogen. He is also passionate about the outdoors and likes to go hunting, fishing and diving … ask him for advice on the best locations!

Jim – Grease monkey and motor fanatic
Jim is Gavin’s right-hand-man in Dunedin. As a mechanic by trade, Jim enjoys getting his hands dirty; so it is no surprise that his hobbies include riding motorbikes, attending rally’s and fixing up old cars. Jim’s latest ‘toy’ is a V8 Trike, which is currently about 90% built.

Jim grew up in Waimate but don’t hold that against him as he has lived in Dunedin for the past 21 years. Jim has two adult children; Amber (15) and Mathew (20).

Lost the , opps I mean misplaced the cherrypicker key, they came down after hours and sorted me out,
They have also used other machinery to accommodate my jobs when other machines have been out on hire. Really what else can I say.
