Safety and TrainingHow Important is a Safe Working Environment to you?To Accessman it is Everything!Your safety when working at height is the primary reason for the creation and ongoing success of Accessman.The company ethos states that the safety of customers, staff and the general public are of paramount importance. So to ensure that Accessman deliver on this promise of safety; they model their health and safety policies and procedures on Australian safety standards, which are some of the most stringent in the world. Machine Checks – All Accessman machines undergo systematic safety checks and servicing every six months to ensure that all electrical and hydraulics components are in good working order. Plus tyres and structural integrity are checked to make sure that all machines are in optimal condition and comply with national Health and Safety Approved Codes of Practice. In addition to this, thorough safety checks are conducted on machines before each hire by qualified Accessman staff. Customer Training – All customers are given a detailed safety induction upon delivery of their machine to ensure that they know how to use the machine and are familiar with its safety features. This induction training is conducted by Accessman’s qualified Silvercard Trainers. There is also an induction card on every machine so all customers have a reference. Safety harnesses are also provided free of charge for customers if required. Operator Training – Accessman takes safety so seriously that they have 2 accredited Gold Card Trainers with the Hire Industry Association Of New Zealand (HIANZ). This certification enables them to not only train their own crew , but also to conduct training courses for customers wanting an in-depth knowledge of the safe use of Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs).
